Is Mindful Leaf a medical clinic?
Yes. Mindful Leaf is a Nurse Practitioner-led healthcare service providing general and mental health care.
Who can use Mindful Leaf?
Mindful Leaf provides consultations for adults aged 18 and over.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a consultation directly with Mindful Leaf.
Can I speak to a clinician before booking?
Yes. If you have questions about whether Mindful Leaf is right for you, you can contact our clinicians before making a booking.
What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
You can cancel or reschedule your appointment in accordance with our Cancellation & No-Show Policy.
Fees & Medicare
Telehealth
From 1 July 2026, Mindful Leaf will move to a mixed-billing model.
A private fee applies to all appointments. Patients who meet the relevant Medicare requirements may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate.
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you must have had at least one face-to-face appointment with Mindful Leaf within the previous 12 months.
If you do not meet this requirement, your appointment will be privately billed and no Medicare rebate will apply.
This change helps Mindful Leaf meet Medicare requirements while continuing to provide high-quality, sustainable care.
Face to Face
From 1 July 2026, Mindful Leaf will operate under a mixed-billing model.
A private fee applies to all appointments. Patients who meet the relevant Medicare requirements may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate.

Nicotine Clinic
Nicotine Clinic appointments are 15-minute consultations for nicotine management, including support with reducing usage and rescripts where appropriate.
A private fee of $30 applies. You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you meet the relevant eligibility criteria.
Eligible Medicare rebates are processed automatically following your appointment.
Nicotine Clinics are available from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday to Friday.
Cancellation Policy
Mindful Leaf is a high-demand healthcare service. To help keep appointments available for everyone, the following attendance policy applies.
No-Shows
A no-show is when you:
- Do not attend your appointment
- Do not join a scheduled telehealth consultation
- Arrive more than 10 minutes late without contacting the clinic
A full appointment fee applies to no-shows. Any outstanding fee must be paid before another appointment can be booked.
Rescripting
Bulk-billed rescripting is available only if you have had a face-to-face appointment with Bruce within the previous 12 months.
If you do not meet this requirement, a paid rescripting review is required.
Missed rescripting reviews are treated as no-shows.
Billing
Mindful Leaf operates under a mixed-billing model. Appointments must be paid for online before your consultation.
Eligible Medicare rebates are processed automatically.
No-show fees are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Exceptional Circumstances
Consideration may be given in exceptional circumstances, including medical emergencies, hospital admission or bereavement.
Supporting documentation may be requested.
